Visitors

While we do not know when it will be safe to return to in-person worship, we invite you to join us on Zoom for worship (please see details on the home page). This page provides information that will be relevant when we can worship together again at Hope.

What You Can Expect

Upper entrance at HopeWe welcome you to join us at Hope this Sunday for worship at 10 am. Enter from the upper parking lot (this entrance is pictured at right) for worship and from the lower parking lot for other activities (the lower entrance is pictured on the home page).

All baptized Christians are invited to the Lord's Table. Those who do not receive bread and wine may stand or kneel for the pastor's blessing. You may kneel or stand to receive the bread and wine. Gluten-free wafers and non-alcoholic wine are also available every week. If you wish to have the sacrament brought to you in the pew, please mention this to an usher.

If you would be more comfortable sitting on a cushion during the service, you may pick up a cushion from the bin in the narthex (lobby area) on your way into the sanctuary.

We also invite you to stay for coffee hour after worship, a time of fellowship to meet new friends and greet old ones.

For Visitors with Special Needs

The upstairs entrance and restrooms are handicapped-accessible, and the elevator allows access to the lower level from the upper level. Hope has a wheelchair and a walker available for use. Simply ask an usher for assistance when arriving at Hope.

Logistical Information

Feel free to dress in a way that is comfortable for you.

The two restrooms off the narthex are designated as gender-neutral family restrooms.

On Sunday mornings, the lower entrance will be locked after 10 am, so please use the upper entrance if you arrive late.

We have a bike rack available for use. It is located on the right side of the church, when facing the building from Guilford Drive.

For Parents of Young Churchgoers

Child care is provided during worship. All child care providers have passed background checks.

If your child stays with you for the worship service, look for the "Busy Bags" in the narthex (lobby area) before you enter the sanctuary. The bags contain books and small toys to keep children entertained during quieter times during the service. Please return all items into the same bag and place it back on the coat rack when you are finished with the bag. Additionally, soft books and soft toys are available in the seating area of the narthex (lobby area) for babies and toddlers.

We want kids to know that God loves them. So we support kids and families growing in faith together. Visit our Learning page to find out about our weekly children's Sunday School, which has moved online successfully during the pandemic. If you would like to learn more, contact Pastor Julie.
